Cutting Example (1)
Method: Shoulder milling, grooving Machine: Vertical type MC (BT50) Tool: ƒσ32mm APMT160508PDERN (XSZ350) Material: S50C or equivalent, metal mold material Cutting conditions: V = 150m/min F = 350mm/min (f=0.12mm/rev) aa = 6mm (aa = 15mm for shoulder milling) ar = 32mm Wet, external fueling |
<Results> Since both the tool and the work had high rigidity, no problems occurred during cutting under the conditions mentioned on the left. With the conventional products, it was not possible to set aa to a large value (normal value = 5mm), while with the XSWMM, the cutting path could be decreased, cutting time was shortened. In addition, the wavy cutting edge used in the XSWMM provides less cutting resistance, and as a result, the large-sized cutting could be performed stably. |

Method: Drilling, helical milling Machine: Vertical type MC (BT50) Tool: ƒσ32mm APMT160508PDERN (XSZ350) Material: S50C or equivalent, metal mold material Cutting conditions: V = 120m/min F = 100 - 120mm/min (f=0.08 - 0.10mm/rev) aa = 30mm (Step: 3mm) (aa = approx. 5mm for helical milling) Wet, external fueling |
Cutting Example (2)
Method: Drilling Machine: Horizontal type MC (BT50) Tool: ƒσ32mm APMT160508PDERN (XSZ350) Material: KTS31, Press type Cutting conditions: V = 120m/min F = 200mm/min (f=0.17mm/rev) aa = 10mm (Step: 2mm manual) Ultimate depth: 30mm Dry, Air blow |
<Results> Unlike conventional products, large-sized cutting can be performed in the XSWMM, So the number of paths was decreased and cutting efficiency twice that of conventional products. (6 paths -> 3 paths) Cutting performance was higher compared with the conventional products, resulting in easier large-sized cutting. |
